How to Add a Pretty Vista Menu to Your Linux Desktop

30 12 2008

Many people said that the Linux “start menu” looks so bored. Some of them wonder that the Vista Menu or similar will comes with Linux desktop. Thanks for the creator of “Vista Menu” and “GnoMenu” they make it’s possible. You may choose one of them, Vista Menu or GnoMenu.

But I prefer to use a GnoMenu than Vista Menu. It’s more stable and available in debian format(.deb). Just go to Gnomenu download home

Download 3 deb files, gnomenuthemes gnomenu gnomenu-themes-gnomelook and install them

After all the nessesary software installed, you can add a GnoMenu to your panel. Finally, you’ll have a Vista’s like menu, like my own.
